New book by Carol-Lynne Moore
September 14, 2009
This study of Rudolf Laban, pre-eminent dance theorist of the twentieth century, provides the first comprehensive analysis of his research. Based upon an examination of unpublished writings and drawings from the final two decades of Laban’s career, this book traces Laban’s systematic integration of various strands of research and delineates how he used “harmony” as an analogic metaphor to illuminate the deep structure of dance and movement.

Another new Laban title hits the bookstand!
Actor Training the Laban Way: An Integrated Approach to Voice, Speech, and Movement
While this book is geared towards cultivating full “presence on stage,” it’s completely relevant for animators. I’m ordering my copy now and will post comments here once I’ve read it.
ps: the author tells us it’s cheaper on Amazon
